Let All the Peoples Sing Praise

Here are the lyrics I was requested to compose for the Entrance Hymn to be used during the Presbyteral Ordination of Rev. Jojo Monis et al. at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of the Diocese of Cubao on 19 March 2007, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph.

Let All the Peoples Sing Praise
(Verses for Ordinations)
Music by Ron M. Alquisada
Verses by Leo R. Ocampo

Chorus:
Let all the peoples praise the Lord,
Let all the peoples sing praise!
Let all the peoples praise the Lord,
Let all the peoples sing praise!

Arise in splendor, people of God,
approach his altar with songs of praise
The Lord cares for you with tender love
He raises up shepherds to lead the flock! (Chorus)

Arise in honor, priests of Christ,
reveal the Lamb of sacrifice.
Take up with courage the bread and wine,
Love broken and poured out that all may be one! (Chorus)

Arise in valor, preach the Word,
his leaven of change for all the world.
Proclaim with power the good news of light,
lead all those in darkness to fullness of life! (Chorus)

Arise in mercy, to raise the poor,
to seek out the lost and bind the lame.
Yet stoop down in service like Christ the Lord
who bid us to love as he himself loved! (Chorus)

Arise in beauty, Body of Christ,
to God our Father break forth into song!
Through Christ in the Spirit sing praise with your lives.
Arise and stand firm, O people of God! (Chorus, Repeat Chorus)
